Supply Chain, Shipping and FOMO, Oh My! (Sung to the tune of Lions, Tigers and Bears)

It seems that the world has just discovered the supply chain crisis that has been plaguing us for months.  Recently my neighbor needed to purchase a new dishwasher.  The inexpensive model he wanted is sitting in a container ship on the Pacific Ocean.  He could wait until February or buy a more expensive machine.

Shipping fees have gone through the roof.  It is not unusual for my vendors to complain about costs up almost five times what it was last year.

And now, all this is making people develop FOMO syndrome.  If you haven’t heard the term before, FOMO stands for “Fear of Missing Out”.

The supply chain issue is real for a several industries, and promotional wearable products are no exception.  A popular cap brand has been out of stock for months.  One of my clients needed several hundred t-shirts.  I had to find four different brands to almost match the color and sizes they needed.  Typically, this would have been easy assignment, but the everchanging inventory status meant that just because stock was available on Monday, did not mean availability on Tuesday.

The same applies to the hard goods aspect of promotional products.  With the holiday gift giving season approaching, FOMO is in full swing.  Relax, it doesn’t have to be that way.  Yes, while some of the everyday promo items may be in tight supply, I can find a quality vendor that can handle your requests.  The more holiday type gifts; drinkware, luggage, and specialty foods have some great deals going on right now.

Under the deals tab, you’ll discover that I’m working with a great vendor on all inclusive pricing.  Better still, on Writing Instruments, Bags and Drinkware – Free Shipping.

Manufacturers are still offering great deals on overstocked and closeout items.  Every so often, a great Spot Deal hits my desk and could be an opportunity buy.  Check out my monthly Closeout Deals and Spot Deals on the Deals Tab as well.

Don’t go FOMO.  I’m here to help.  Give me a call or send an email and see what I can do for you.

Have a great and safe Thanksgiving.
